It’s that time of year, when gardens all over Australia are overflowing with plump, sweet, delicious pumpkins.
Add some extra decadence to chilly weekends with this warming slow-cooked lamb pie, with crispy puff pastry and red wine.
We continually strive to reduce our environmental impact, and make great wine with minimal intervention. We believe that healthier vines create better wines.
The Wine Room is Yalumba’s cellar door in the Barossa, and is open from 10am to 5pm every day, offering tastings and winery tours from 10am to 5pm every day.
Founded in 1849, Yalumba is a fiercely independent family-owned winery nestled in the heart of the Barossa. Learn about our heritage and innovative practices.
Experience Yalumba winery at our cellar door in the Barossa, at our events around Australia, or in our bed and breakfast accommodation in the Coonawarra.
Mahogany brown in colour. A developed aroma that exhibits cooked fruit characters. The palate is tired with volatility and alcohol warmth detracting from the subtle earth and vegetal flavours. Short and astringent on the finish.

Fragrant, aromatic accents accompany the plum pudding and chocolate aromas. The nose carries a hint of volatility very well. A huge wine on the palate with developed notes of ripe fruits, old leather and vanilla. The finish shows a softly textured tannin structure and fine persistence.
The nose offers mature blackberry aromas in the company of game and mint. On the palate, the volatility distracts from the anise and meaty flavours. A modest length of persistence with a drying finish.
