Distilling has been part of Yalumba history since the beginning. So when Starward asked to mature whisky in our octave barrels, we were excited to help craft a modern single malt whiskey, shaped by The Octavius Shiraz & aptly named Starward Octave Barrels.

As we celebrate the fifth release of The Caley Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz, we take a moment to reflect on the journey so far with Yalumba Proprietor Robert Hill-Smith and Winemaker Kevin ​‘KG’ Glastonbury.

After 9 months travelling across the America’s Fred Caley Smith boarded the SS Britannic and set sail on a trans-Atlantic voyage to spend Christmas with family in Wareham, Dorset.

Yalumba felt incredibly proud to be included in the Top 100 list with The Caley 2016. This wine will not be released until June 2021, and was fortunate enough to be awarded 98 points.
