2003 Harvest Market & Picnic - what a great day!

 Join the Club

At the picnic a range of good foods from the length and breadth of the Barossa were featured at the Producers’ Market – including meats and small goods, pickles and preserves, breads, cakes, pastries and biscuits, pasties and pies, condiments, fresh and dried fruits, vegetables, herbs, cheese and olive oils.  Visitors had the opportunity to talk to the producers and taste their wares.

At “BOBS” shed there were demonstrations of traditional Barossa bread making, tastings of local virgin olive oils, and Peter Clarke of Vintners Bar and Grill cooked up a storm from breakfast until afternoon tea.

Our cooking schools featured Bill Granger – Sydney’s latest star of the stove and author of Sydney Food & bills food, where he showed his trademark of simple, fresh food that appeals to the eye and the palate.

We hope to see you all at the next Harvest Market to let your taste buds discover the bountiful flavours of the Barossa.
