The 2002 Sydney International Wine Competition winners were announced last week with our results including 1 Trophy, 3 Top 100 wines and 3 Blue-Gold awards.
The Sydney International Wine Competition is the only major international wine competition to judge wine where it is most often enjoyed – with food. This unique format tends to promote and award wines of good balance and harmony. Competition was fierce, with over 1,600 wines from Australia and New Zealand entered into the competition this year.
Yalumba Eden Valley Viognier 2000 was a special trophy winner, receiving the Ted Radke Perpetual Trophy for "Best wine made from a lesser know grape variety" was included in the Top 100 wines.
