89/100 "It's not often that a $10-$12 wine gets Wine of the Week. This is a smashing riesling sourced from quality vineyards in the Barossa and Eden Valleys, and it's extraordinary value. The colour is bright, light yellow with a green tint, and the nose is appropriately floral and fresh with the yeasty notes typical of a very new riesling. It has softness and balance in the mouth, with a tickle of sweetness early which dries off towards the back palate. The flavours are clean and floral, subtle and restrained, with no lack of length or refinement as you might expect in a budget-priced dry white. Totally gluggable. Best drunk within three years.
Food: Salads and vegetable dishes, sushi, cold prawns with mayonnaise, any white fleshed fish simply cooked.
