Last year's Quaff Wine of the Year topped a tasting of shiraz for Quaff and, in my view, is at least as good as last year's wine. The 2005 wine has matured nicely in the 12 months since I last saw it and is a better wine now than it was then. Expect this vintage to improve then. There's spicy licorice and blackcurrant flavours, succulent, silky smooth texture, terrific depth and length and lingering spicy flavours. It's primal, focussed, as good as it gets."
