| | 93/100 - Yalumba's senior winemaker, Lousia Rose, is the leading exponent of this grape in Australia. The '06 is slightly restrained at first and improves markedly in the glass. It was even better the next day. It is a light yellow hue with green tinges and has a spicy apricot and honey scent with a hint of herbs. A rich, powerful palate with 14.5% alcohol and just a smidgin of oak adding interest, as well as a slight grip to the finish. This is flavoursome stuff and needs a richly flavoured dish. Don't over chill it. Best drunk within four years.
