95 points - "Remarkable, considering it was released a year ago, Yalumba Single Site Lyndoch Shiraz 2006 is still available. Smells of shiny, raisin fruit, bitter chocolate and integrated toasty okay. Bay and anise also; gets more complex as it sits in the glass. Smells both trad and new style. Tannins are chewy and building and quite formidable, and iron and fruit cake tastes are stacked on them. The flavours linger long in the mouth... Sealed with cork, but I’ve not seen much variation in the few bottles I’ve tasted which is music to my palate." Tim White, The Australian Financial Review 27-29th January 2012 |
